From the Lawrence Daily World for Nov. 18, 1907: “The recent Biederwolf religious revival meetings here cost the city of Lawrence, in cash, about $1,500. This is less than anticipated and the results were judged highly satisfactory by local church leaders who took part. : President Roosevelt has invited the nation’s governors to meet him at the White House May 13-15 to discuss means to conserve the natural resources of the country. Members of Congress also are invited along with any officials who might be involved in such activities.”
