The Pilot Club of Lawrence conducted its monthly meeting Nov. 12 at Bambino’s restaurant. The program was about the RSVP program at the Roger Hill Volunteer Center, and also how to reduce the risk of a stroke.

¢The University Bridge Club announces results from its Nov. 10 meeting. Hosts were John and Jane Golden.

Blue winners were Paul Jordan, first; Ray Ikenberry, second; Tom Waller, third; Bebe Huxtable, fourth; and Marc Kuepker, fifth.

Pink winners were Mary Joslin, first; Wanda Kring, second; Darlene Schneider, third; Myrna Ikenberry, fourth; and Cathy Waller, fifth.

¢The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club gathered Nov. 7, and the game was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Rosemary Searcy and Jeffrey Nash, followed by Pat Musick and Ann Thompson placing second in A and first in B and C. Harry Shaffer and Ed Howard were third in A, with Wanda Durbin and Suzanne Wassmer in fourth place. Margrete Hartman and Betty Spalsbury were second in B and C, followed by Adelaide Nyquist and Bobby Patton.

The East-West winners were Shari Krentzel and Mary Mertz at first in A, B and C, followed by Virginia Seaver and Shirley Reese. Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld were third in A and second in B and C, with Carol Ball and Nita Scales at fourth in A.

¢The Thursday Morning Mentor Bridge Club met Nov. 8, and Lester Dalton directed the game. Virginia Johnston and Chris Lane placed first, with a second-place tie between Chuck Hedges and Arkie Vaughn, with Pat Lechtenberg and Virginia Seaver. Shirley Reese and Greg Hazen placed fourth, and finishing in a fifth-place tie were Barbara Figgins and Eldon Herd, with Yvonne Hedges and Jan Vaughn.

¢The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game Nov. 9 was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough, followed by Chris Lane and Ed Howard. Adelaide Nyquist and Vince Russo placed third, with Harry Shaffer and Grant Sutton placing fourth. Lynn Hui and Catherine Blumenfeld placed first in B and C, with Klee Zaricky and Sally Taylor at second place in B.

The East-West winners were Lois Clark and Mark Osborn at first in A and B, followed by Shari Krentzel and Debbi Bettinger at second in A and B and first in C. Marilyn Martin and Madelyn Jenks were third in A and B and second in C. Virginia Seaver and Chuck Hedges were fourth in A.

¢The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game Nov. 11 was directed by Eldon Herd. The winners were Kent McCullough and Eldon Herd, followed by Jeff Mermin and Adelaide Nyquist. Marilyn Martin and Jean Khatib placed third.

¢The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s game Nov. 12 was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Steven Phelps and Vince Norberg at first in A, B and C, followed by Jeffrey Nash and Lois Jones at second in A. Kent McCullough and Chuck Hedges were third in A, with Sally Taylor and Klee Zaricky at fourth in A and second in B.

The North-South winners were Eldon Herd and Mary Fenlon, followed by Donna Johnson and James Masilamani. Jolene Andersen and Pat Musick placed third in A and first in B and C, followed by Jerry Sloan and Jim Stewart at fourth place in A. Lynn Hui and Terry Tolar placed second in B and C.
