Kansas University law student Richard Bacon continued to draw accolades from aircraft experts for his handling of a wheels-up landing he had been forced to make in Denver while flying to the Kansas-Colorado football game in Boulder. The put-down had been made, with great skill, said officials, in a wheat field. Bacon was a former KU fullback.
