Leavenworth ? Kortney Smith totaled 19 points and nine steals, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Haskell Indian Nations University from absorbing a 62-53 women’s basketball defeat Tuesday night against St. Mary.

Haskell, which trailed by just two points at halftime, also received 12 points from Whitney Warrior.

“We never really got in sync,” Haskell coach Phil Homeratha said.
