Odd Williams, a widely known Lawrence native who had served the city, Kansas University and the state of Kansas in numerous political, civic and philanthropic roles, died after suffering a heart attack at his home here. He was 56, and the death shocked and saddened many familiar with Williams’ countless contributions to the community and the region.
