It’s time, once again, to put together the Journal-World’s all-area teams, honoring those athletes in our coverage zone that excelled during the fall season.

Coaches wishing to nominate athletes for any of the sports – football, boys soccer, boys and girls cross country and volleyball – may do so by emailing Journal-World high school sports editor Matt Tait at mtait@ljworld.com.

Each coach may nominate up to three athletes from his or her team, and statistics as well as a sentence or two recapping the athlete’s season are encouraged.

The teams will be open to high school athletes from any of the Lawrence schools in addition to those in the surrounding communities. Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, Nov. 15.
