Football seasons at Baker and Haskell Indian Nations universities will end today with both the Wildcats and Fightin’ Indians on the road.

Baker will travel to Kansas City, Mo., to tangle with Avila College in a Heart of America Athletic Conference clash. Haskell will trek to Forrest City, Iowa, to meet Waldorf College.

Kickoffs for both games will be 1 p.m.

Haskell (1-9) will be hoping to avoid its first double-digit loss season since an 0-11 finish in 2001. Waldorf (2-8) is coming off a 29-22 triumph over Minnesota-Morris that featured fullback Marcus Lewis carrying the ball 37 times for 273 yards and two touchdowns.

Last week, HINU surrendered a season-high 59 points to an Avila team that had won only one game.

Baker (5-5) hopes to bounce back from last week’s 34-30 home loss to MidAmerica Nazarene by winning on the same field where Avila (2-8) crushed Haskell a week ago.
