Three City Commission seats were to be contested in the coming city election – those of Mayor Marci Francisco, Don Binns and Tom Gleason. All said they were undecided about seeking re-election. Binns said he had been “very ineffective” of late because he too often seemed to be the lone dissenter on various issues and did not want negativism to carry over into the new commission term. He said he would “watch and see what happens in the filing process” before making a final decision.
