You’re welcome

It’s that time of year, again. Time for hosts and hostesses to try to turn their humble abodes into welcoming spaces. For masters of the house who want to impress friends and family members, the November issue of Good Housekeeping has these tips:

¢ First things first. Dress up your front porch with potted mums, assorted pumpkins and gourds and fall leaves.

¢ Make it easier for guests to reminisce after the meal by rearranging your seating area. Turn chairs in your living room away from the TV ahead of time.

¢ Be cool. Turn down your home’s thermostat before guests arrive to ensure they aren’t roasting like your Thanksgiving turkey.
