Three Kansas University female students died in a two-car crash in a driving rainstorm about 430 feet north of the intersection of 15th and Iowa. Two others were seriously hurt in what was termed the worst accident in recent city history. In all, nine persons were hurt in weekend motor vehicle accidents here, most of them caused by the impaired visibility due to heavy sheets of wind-driven rain.
