Resident re-elected as group’s president

John Surritte, Lawrence, was re-elected as state president of the Kansas Federation for the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association during the federation’s annual convention earlier this month in Junction City.

The federation represents the interests of more than 50,000 retired and active federal employees in Kansas.

More than 220 federation members attended the convention.

Surritte, who retired in 2000 as a finance executive for the U.S. Postal Service, also serves as president of the federation’s Lawrence chapter, one of six in Kansas. His wife, Linda Surritte, was reappointed as Alzheimer’s chair for the association in Kansas.
