KU Hospital names new chief operating officer

The chief nursing officer at Kansas University Hospital has been named the hospital’s new chief operating officer, KU announced Thursday.

Tammy Peterman, who has been with the hospital since she graduated from KU’s School of Nursing in 1981, will replace Bob Page as chief operating officer starting in July. Page is moving up to become the hospital’s president and chief executive officer, replacing outgoing CEO Irene Cumming.

Peterman’s title had been chief nursing officer and senior vice president for patient care services. She will remain chief nursing officer and carry the title of executive vice president.

Also, KU announced that senior nursing director Chris Ruder will be promoted to vice president of patient care services, and chief financial officer Scott Glasrud will become an executive vice president.
