Bombers blast Thrashers (5-21-07)
Batting in only four innings, the Bombers dropped 12 hits on the Thrashers on their way to a 13-4 victory Monday night at Youth Sports Inc.
The Bombers scored three runs in the first, four in the second and five in the fourth thanks to consistent hitting from Chase Langston, Nathan Evers and Andrew Denning.
Langston had an RBI infield hit to start the second inning scoring and Denning later hit a two-run homer over the left field fence.
Evers hit an RBI triple in the first and an RBI double in the fourth.
The Thrashers’ Hunter Dedloff led off the game with a hit and scored a run to put his team up early.
Marcay Urish hit a single and eventually scored the Thrashers’ final run in the fourth.
Denning closed out the Thrashers in the top of the fifth, retiring the only three batters he faced while appearing in relief for Langston, who pitched the first four innings.
