Health care testimony collected for Congress
Lawrence-area residents who have lacked health insurance or had problems with health insurance are invited to tell about their experiences today at a series of “Health Care Truth Hearings.”
The hearings, sponsored by the groups Kansas Healthcare for All and Healthcare-NOW!, will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.
Statements from the event and similar events nationwide will be videotaped and given to members of Congress and the 2008 presidential candidates. The goal is to build support for a national health insurance act, House Resolution 676.
