Women’s clinic slated
The best way to learn a new skill is hands-on instruction, under the guidance of an expert.
That’s the premise for Women’s Outdoor Adventures, a weekend workshop planned June 8-10 at Scott State Park near Scott City.
The workshop is designed for women 21 or older who want to learn or improve their outdoor skills. Among the classes available will be canoeing, archery, outdoors art, overnight camping, mountain biking, shooting sports, survival skills, navigation, boating, scuba diving, outdoors photography and self-defense.
The workshop fee of $150 (add $15 if registration is postmarked after May 24) covers meals, lodging, all programs and instruction and a T-shirt.
Lodging at Camp Lakeside is dormitory-style. Air-
conditioned sleeping rooms accommodate up to 20 people per room. Participants should bring their own bedding or sleeping bags, as well as towels and wash cloths.
