Army Reserve Pvt. Wathana Singmanichanh graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

During nine weeks of training, Singmanichanh studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in areas including basic combat skills and chemical warfare.

Singmanichanh is the son of Khamkerd Singmanichanh and Khavanh Singmanichanh, both of Lawrence.

¢Air Force Airmen Mallory M. Dultmeier and Rodney R. Evinger graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

During six weeks of training, they studied the Air Force mission, organization and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received training in physical fitness, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and human relations.

Dultmeier is the daughter of Kirk Dultmeier, Perry, and Pamela Miller, Topeka, and is a 2005 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School.

Evinger was an honor graduate of the course. He is the son of Rodney and Terri Evinger, Eudora, and is a 2005 graduate of Eudora High School.
