The city of Lawrence with an unofficial increase of about $3.5 million in its 1967 real estate valuation had pushed Douglas County’s real estate figure to nearly $65 million, according to assessor Darwin Rogers. Lawrence’s increase overshadowed a county decrease outside the city of $546,000.
