Topeka ? De Soto finished second in the Class 4A state high school tennis championships Saturday.

The De Soto doubles team of Andy Edwards Daniel Hoschouer finished third. De Soto singles players Andrew Konetzni and Matt Edwards placed seventh and eighth, respectively.

Independence won the team title with 37 points, followed by De Soto with 21, Topeka Hayden with 20 and Marysville with 17.

Konetzni defeated Matt Edwards, 9-4 in the seventh-place singles match.
