Immigration matters on breakfast menu

Judy Bordeau, who practices immigration law in the Kansas City area as a partner in the Eisberg & Bordeau law firm, will be the featured speaker during a Kansas International breakfast meeting May 18.

The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. at Alvamar Country Club.

Bordeau, whose firm focuses on employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, plans to review immigration matters and how they relate to American companies. The presentation – described as a “high-level overview” of employment-based visas and current legislative proposals – will include a discussion of what business leaders should know and why it matters.

Bordeau, who received her law degree at Kansas University, worked as an in-house corporate attorney for several years prior to forming the partnership of Eisberg & Bordeau. The firm’s clients include Fortune 500 companies, universities and small corporations.

Cost for the breakfast seminar is $15 for adults and $10 for students. For more information, or to register, e-mail Natalie Roberts at nroberts@lawrencechamber.com.
