A 44-year old man was arrested Saturday for allegedly bumping another man with his pickup truck, then striking the man, according to Lawrence police.

The Lawrence man was arrested on charges of aggravated battery, battery and theft, according to Douglas County Jail reports.

Police said the incident happened about 9:40 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Massachusetts Street.

Along with charges related to the altercation, he also was arrested on suspicion of a Dec. 5 theft of a license plate from the 1400 block of Apple Lane.
