Randolph out for season

Portland, Ore. – Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Randolph had surgery on his right hand Friday and will miss the final 10 games of the season. Randolph, the Trail Blazers’ top scorer and rebounder, hurt his hand during a 94-93 loss at Minnesota last Sunday.

Richardson has surgery

New York – Knicks forward Quentin Richardson underwent back surgery and will miss the rest of the season. His recovery will take about three months.

Dallas signs big man

Dallas – The Dallas Mavericks will sign 44-year-old forward Kevin Willis to a 10-day contract Monday if he passes a physical.

Dallas coach Avery Johnson said Friday the 7-foot Willis would be signed to give the team another big man for the postseason.
