The Pilot Club of Lawrence invited the Altrusa and Soroptimist clubs of Lawrence for a Friendship Dinner on March 26. Entertainment was provided by DAZL Entertainment, a group of young people with disabilities.

¢University Bridge Club announces the results of its March 24 meeting. Hosts were Bebe Huxtable, Ruth Harwood, and Dave and Mary Gaumer. Blue winners were Tom Waller, first; Ruth Harwood, second; Marc Kuepker, third; John Golden, fourth; and Ray Ikenberry, fifth. Pink winners were Myrna Ikenberry, first; Jane Golden, second; Cathy Waller, third; Cora Kuepker, fourth; and Mona Langlois, fifth.

¢The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club played a stratified Howell movement at six tables directed by Chris Lane on March 14. Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro won first in A, and Shirley Reese and Virginia Seaver won second. Klee Zaricky and Betty Collier won first in B and third in A. Mary Joyce and Phyllis Brownlee won second in B, followed by Marge Hitchcock and Ginny Johnston who won first in C and third in B.

¢The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club played a stratified Mitchell movement at seven and a half tables directed by Virginia Seaver on March 16. Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough led the North-South teams, winning first in A. Shirley Reese and Chris Lane won second in A and first in B, followed by Virginia Seaver and Klee Zaricky who won third in A. Don Daugherty and Harry Talley won first in C and second in B.

At East-West, James Masilamani and Jeff Nash won first in A, and Betty Collier and Lois Clark won second in A as well as first in B and C. Dave Piro and Paul Heitzman won third in A. Mona Bell and Madelyn Jenks won second in B and C.

¢The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club played a Club Championship game on St. Patrick’s Day. The group began with a Spring Cleaning party followed by pizza and the game. Chris Lane directed the stratified Mitchell movement at seven tables. Playing North-South, Jeane Landry and Harry Shaffer won first in A, and Chris Lane and Shirley Reese won first in B and second in A. Phyllis Brownlee and Madelyn Jenks won second in B and third in A.

Virginia Seaver and Paul Heitzman won first in A at East-West, followed by Barbara Merriam and Dorothy Netson who won second in A and first in B. Eldon Herd and Emily Foster won third in A.

¢The Monday Evening Bridge Club played a stratified Mitchell movement at eight and a half tables directed by Virginia Seaver on March 19. Playing North-South, Paul Heitzman and Virginia Seaver won first in A, followed by Julia and Lester Dalton, who won first in B and second in A. Kent McCullough and Larry Bodle won third in A. Phyllis Brownlee and Madelyn Jenks won first in C and second in B, and Martie Hartman and Pat Burgstahler won second in C.

Terry Tolar and Jambo Zhang won first in A, B and C playing East-West, and Harry Talley and Don Daugherty won second overall. Ed Howard and John Fittel won third in A.
