University Bridge Club announces results of its March 17 meeting. Hosts were Gini Wigington, Janet Dunn, Mary Kanous and Willie Stoltenberg. Blue winners were Carl Schaake, first; John Golden, second; Tom Waller, third; Paul Jordan, fourth; and George Bocquin, fifth. Pink winners were Jane Golden, first; Donna Riehm, second; Dottie Miller, third; Cora Keupker, fourth; and Edna Galle, fifth.

¢The Betty Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met March 17 at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor. Martha Harp was recognized for 25 years of membership in DAR. She is the wife of the late Dick Harp, former basketball coach at Kansas University.

Committee reports were given. After the meeting, members participated in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The next meeting will be at 10 a.m. April 21 at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor. Tim Rues, administrator of Lecompton’s Constitution Hall, will speak about the 150th anniversary of the Lecompton Constitution.
