The six top finishers in the 12-person City Commission primary election were Donald E. Metzler, Clark Morton, Jesse Milan, incumbent Ernie Pulliam, H.H. Belote and Jim Black. Incumbent Mike Getto was edged by 49 votes, finishing seventh and missing the April 4 general election cutoff.
