The city's Solid Waste Division this week will have its annual compost giveaway for people interested in using the material to enhance their gardens or flower beds.
The giveaway will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Compost will be available at the city's Wood Recovery and Composting Facility, 1420 E. 11th St., which is just east of 11th Street and Haskell Avenue.
There is no charge for the compost. Residents may load their own compost or have it loaded by tractor into pickups or small trailers.
The compost has been chemically tested to ensure safe use.

Can't go wrong there. I was just tilling a lady's bed this morning. Good compost would have been welcome. Don't forget about the ” mulch ” drives. it's not free, but it's worth the drive and a little muscle. Bless the Green Things !!!!
