Cambodia ? Searchers located the wreckage of a passenger airplane in a Cambodian jungle after it disappeared two days earlier with 22 people aboard, officials said today.

There was no immediate word whether there were any survivors on the Russian-made An-24 aircraft operated by PMT Air, which crashed Monday morning.

Officials have said the plane was carrying 13 South Korean and three Czech tourists, five Cambodians and a Russian co-pilot.

A rescue helicopter found the crash site northeast of Bokor Mountain in Kampot province, said the provincial Deputy Governor Khov Khun Huor.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said the plane was flying in a heavy rainstorm and that there was a “high probability it may have crashed into a mountain as it was descending to land” in Sihanoukville, the plane’s scheduled destination.

Some 1,000 soldiers and police, along with four helicopters, had taken part in the search, which was hampered by rough terrain and bad weather that limited visibility for pilots.
