From the Lawrence Daily World for June 17, 1907: “Many Lawrence boys will be leaving soon for the Kansas harvest fields, where the work is hard but the pay is good and most boys seem to like the work. : State bar exams are due in Topeka and there is a long list of candidates, a number of them from Lawrence.”
