Old Home Town – 100 years ago

From the Lawrence Daily World for June 16, 1907: “The state printer is investigating charges that someone ‘leaked’ data on the latest medical examinations for Kansas. Apparently someone in the employ of the printing plant sold lists of the questions for $5 a copy, forcing a total change of presentation for the examination. : The university board of regents has decided on a location for the new engineering building and work is due to begin soon. The $200,000 in building will be to the west of the new gymnasium, which sits about equal in distance between Fraser Hall and where the new engineering facilities will be. A knoll at the location will provide one of the best views imaginable.”
