To the editor:

After ordering budget cuts to popular programs, it’s a wonder why City Manager Dave Corliss spent taxpayer money to travel to Anaheim, Calif., for a weekend of glad-handing. And what would the city have gained had we been named one of 10 “All American Cities”? Something else to put on a plaque in City Hall. I’m sure the laid-off city workers would be grateful.
