Aggies’ forward Jones to return to school

? Texas A&M forward Joseph Jones said he has withdrawn his name from the NBA draft and will return to the Aggies to play for new coach Mark Turgeon his senior season.

Jones said last month he would participate in the draft if he thought he would be one of the top 15 picks. He did not hire an agent, thus protecting his college eligibility.

“I feel like I was not getting the response from the NBA people in the spot I wanted to be in, which is the first round or something guaranteed,” Jones said in an interview with Houston station KRIV.

Jones has started 94 games, and he averaged 13.4 points and 6.7 rebounds last season as the Aggies were second in the Big 12 and advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament.
