The Diamondbacks took on the Storm in Lawrence Girls Fastpitch Association 12U action Sunday at Youth Sports Inc. The Diamondbacks won the game, 18-11.

The Diamondbacks got timely hits from Madeline Caywood and Courtney Parker. Caywood laced a double into right field, while Parker singled home a run.

For the Storm, Mallory Thompson contributed with a pair of hits, while Emma Kelly struck out three. Lauren Zabel scored several runs in the losing effort.
