Sen. Pine posts perfect voting attendance record

State Sen. Roger Pine, R-Lawrence, posted a 100 percent voting attendance record during the 2007 Legislature.

The Senate recorded 436 final action roll call votes during the session. Also during the session, 395 Senate bills, 88 resolutions and 13 concurrent resolutions were introduced. The Senate ultimately passed 97 bills that will become law.

Pine is in his first four-year term in the Kansas Senate. He is vice chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee and is a member of the Senate Committees on Assessment and Taxation; Education; and Utilities. He also serves on the Senate-House Joint Committee on Legislative Educational Planning. Pine is a farmer who lives with his wife, Sue, on the northern outskirts of Lawrence.

His 3rd Senate District includes Baldwin City, Basehor, Eudora, Linwood, Oskaloosa, Tonganoxie and part of northern Lawrence.
