Chalk up one more honor for celebrated Tonganoxie High School graduate Ali Pistora.

Pistora, the HyVee High School Scholar Athlete of the Year, will participate tonight in the Kansas Volleyball Association’s 22nd Annual All-Star Match, which will take place at 7 p.m. at Silver Lake High School.

Pistora will join 21 other recent graduates from Kansas high schools at the event.

Past participants of note include Lawrence High’s Kristin Kampschroeder (’90), Jill Oselschlager (’93) and Heidi Kerbel (’97), each of whom won the event’s Judy Bellomo Award, given to the most inspirational player. Free State’s Jamie Morningstar also played in the event and was awarded the Flo Hyman scholarship.
