The attorney representing a former Lawrence High School teacher who admitted earlier this month to having sex with a student was granted access to the victim's psychological records Monday.
Meredith Kane, 24, pleaded guilty July 2 to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The acts occurred between August 2006 and March of this year with the male student, who was 15 at the time.
Her attorney had sought access to the records before the former teacher's sentencing, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 12. Kane, whose contract was not renewed by the Lawrence school board in May, could face five to 20 years in prison.

This is what happens when you are fat and ugly. Pretty little blondes with crystal blue eyes and full red lips walk free. Where's the justice? Fat girls need love too.

Hope the records clearly show if the young male had bragging rights or damaged for the sexual contact with an “older” woman. Maybe the guys of this generation no longer brag about scoring with older women.

Amazed-
Your comment won't be on here long. They will yank it for your description of her. It got ugly on earlier stories. We all think that Meredith has friends at LJW.
Smitty-
Would you brag about scoring (with her in particular)?

My question was about the change in attitudes over a couple of generations or so. I fail to see the need to brag. It's a personal thing.

Ms. Kane was a good teacher:all of her students liked her:well most of them:but she acted like a kid herself, who could blame her, she wasnt that much older than her students:but what she did was wrong, but the kid was in the wrong too, he stocked her and everything:.after what “they did”:.i guess she tried to call it off and he wouldnt let her:it was a weird situation all around:but when she got fired everyone new why:
