Army 2nd Lt. Nicholas G. Potter has graduated from the Army Basic Officer Leader Course III. The course aims to develop and produce competent, adaptable officers with increased maturity. Officers are trained to solve dilemmas, make rapid decisions and lead soldiers. Graduates are readied to lead small units upon arrival at their first assignment.

Potter is a 2002 graduate of Free State High School and a 2006 graduate of Kansas University.

¢Air Force Airman 1st Class Zachary Greenlee, Lawrence, is serving at Camp Lemonier in Djibouti as part of the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.

Greenlee, a 1999 graduate of Free State High School, is working as a satellite communications specialist.

¢The Navy aircraft carrier U.S.S. Rendova, CVE-114, will conduct a reunion Oct. 17-20 in Omaha, Neb., for all who served on the ship during the World War II and Korean conflict eras.
