ACC Women Second: Alvamar Country Club finished second in last week’s Greater Kansas City Women’s Golf competition at Brookridge CC. Loch Lloyd CC won with 44 points and ACC was runner-up with 41.5 points. Team members were June Adams, Elaine Brady, Kathy Stuntz, Linda Swain, Julie Spain, Sheila Collier, Sherry Tiemeyer and Cathy Hambleton.

¢Eudora Run Slated: The Eudora Horsethief 5K Race and one-mile fun run will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Eudora Middle School. Raceday registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:15. ¢Little League Football: Sign-up sessions for Little League football conducted by Lawrence Youth Football Inc. will be at 7 p.m. July 25 and at 10 a.m. July 28.
