A number of Lawrence Phenix Softball team took part in the American Fastpitch Association “A” national qualifying tournament over the weekend at Youth Sports Inc. in Lawrence.

The 12U Phenix-Ramler led the way with a 6-2 record and a second-place finish. Phenix-Rusk took second-place in the 18U bracket, also with a 6-2 record.

Other teams did not have as much success. The Phenix 16U team went 2-4, while the Phenix-Waite, Jorgensen and Fyler teams each went 1-2.
