Emporia ? Caleb Gress pitched a one-hit shutout, and Ben Wilson hit a two-run home run as the Lawrence Raiders defeated Osage City, 8-0, on Saturday in a five-inning game at the Emporia Tournament.

“We had a really good effort,” Raiders coach Shaun Edmondson said. “It was a nice all-around game. We played solid defense, and Caleb threw very well, obviously.”

The Raiders (16-12) went 1-2 in the tournament.
