Clarification

A brief that appeared in Friday’s Journal-World requires clarification. Shanan Carson was sentenced in connection with an incident last August on Kansas Highway 10 when he didn’t move away from emergency vehicles responding to an injury accident and later swerved and honked at officials at the accident scene. Carson was sentenced to 30 days in jail on an assault charge and assessed a $500 fine plus court costs. On a charge of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle charge, he was fined $180. Carson must serve six days in jail, and then he will be placed on probation for six months.
