Cleveland - C.C. Sabathia became the majors' first 12-game winner, and Grady Sizemore drove in three runs to lead Cleveland.

Sabathia (12-2) matched last season's win total and is 7-1 with a 2.62 ERA in his past 10 starts.

Athletics 7, Yankees 0

New York - Chad Gaudin combined with Rich Harden on a one-hitter, and Oakland connected for three home runs off Kei Igawa.

Johnny Damon's single in the sixth was the only hit for the Yankees (37-40).

Twins 8, Tigers 5

Detroit - Michael Cuddyer and Lew Ford homered and drove in three runs apiece.

Mariners 8, Blue Jays 3

Seattle - Miguel Batista pitched into the seventh inning, Ben Broussard tied a career-high with four hits, and the Mariners notched their seventh straight win.

It's Seattle longest win streak since a nine-game win streak from May 27 to June 5, 2003.

The Mariners snapped Roy Halladay's win streak.

Orioles 6, Angels 3

Baltimore - Brian Burres took a three-hitter into the eighth inning, Ramon Hernandez hit a three-run homer, and Baltimore improved to 6-4 under interim manager Dave Trembley.

Rangers 5, Red Sox 4

Boston - Sammy Sosa hit his 602nd career homer.
