Exhibit features local artists, students

CornerBank’s current art show features colorful paints by local artists Susan Ashline and Vaughn Cowden and several sculptures by two KU graduate students, Dave Werdin-Kennicott and Stephanie Sailer.

Werdin-Kennicott’s dragonfly, with a 15-foot wing span and a tendency to flutter when approached, is a stimulating eye catcher and complements the other intriguing sculptural pieces and paintings in the show.

The public reception for the artists will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the bank, 4621 W. Sixth St. The show runs through March 2.

The shows may be viewed anytime during CornerBank’s hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. For more information, call 838-9400.
