Kansas University athletic director Lew Perkins was interviewed by the Boston Globe, which was doing a story on the possibility of the Boston College athletic department going to a ticket points system similar to KU's.

"The pick-a-seat program has been great for us," Perkins told the Globe. "The fans love it."

Yeah Lew, I'm sure that the rich folks you run with love it! Once again, a person of influence has his head in the sand. What is it, do these people just ignore any remarks which are contrary to their opinions or do they not even bother to listen? Perhaps you could head back east to help BC start their ticket program and please take all your family members and Coach Bonnie, too.

Which fans does Lew talk to? Somebody needs to tell him that his wife and kids don't speak for the entire KU fan base. I sit by a guy at games and thats all he does is say how much he hates the plan. Lew needs to come talk to taht guy. That would be more entertaining than Julian blowing open court dunks.

I think it's a great idea. People no longer need to wait for ticket holders to die in order to get decent seats, plus it raises money for the athletic program. It's no wonder that this type of plan is becoming increasingly popular among college sports. Thank you Lew for bringing KU up to date!

You're right. My name is rather juvenile compared to some of the others here. Thanks for the heads-up, Plumberscrack.

Oh my god, that's the best response I've ever read.
