Eudora ? Veritas Christian played Olathe Christian tough in a rematch, but lost, 61-46, in high school boys basketball Saturday night.

Micah Barclay scored 12 points, and Tyler Williams added night points for Veritas.

“I thought we played very well, considering we played them a week ago and completely blew us away,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said, recalling a 55-26 loss. “It was a very competitive game tonight. The guys battled hard. We’re shooting the ball a lot better. The rebounding and turnovers are something that’s been hurting us all year.”

Veritas made 26 turnovers and was outrebounded, 27-18, but the Eagles hit 44 percent from the field.

Veritas (2-14) will play Tuesday at Lebo.

Eudora – Kristie Tiegreen had 20 points and 21 rebounds, but the Eagles couldn’t give her much support in the loss.

Susan Wilson had seven points and 10 rebounds, and Marteka Carlton had 10 rebounds.

Veritas (5-9) will play at Lebo on Tuesday.
