Four fire departments responded Friday afternoon to a barn fire in rural Douglas County.

The fire at 374 N. 1250 Road began just after 1 p.m., emergency dispatchers said. Clinton Township, Wakarusa Township, Kanwaka Township and Eudora Township fire departments all responded to the blaze, with Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical providing additional water.

The fire was announced all clear at 2:12 p.m. It appears no one was injured in the fire, and no other structures were involved.

I know I'm jumping the gun here, but there was just an article about how methlab busts in Kansas were way down last year, like, as in there were zero busted in DG county. In the last couple months, we've had at least two trailer homes and two barns go up in flames, none of which have been explained to the public. Weird.
