Helping hand

To the editor:

On Jan. 17, while reading gas meters at Building 13, Stouffer Place, I fell on the ice behind the building. In great pain, I was able to get to the front of the building, but my truck was parked at Building 19 and I knew I would never make it. A lady pulled up in her van, and as I was in tears, I asked her if she could take me to my truck. She was so helpful. She took me to my truck, helped me get in and stayed with me until I could call in for help.

At the emergency room, I found I had dislocated my shoulder and fractured it. I didn’t get her name, so this is a big “thank you” to her. I hope I can pass along her care and concern to someone else in need. It is so great to know that there are still people who will lend a hand. Thank you!
