Senior pastor to speak at Baker ceremony
Wallace Hartsfield, senior pastor at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo., will be the speaker during the Martin Luther King Jr. ceremony Thursday at Baker University.
The ceremony will be at 11 a.m. at Osborne Chapel.
Hartsfield is vice president at-large of the National Baptist Convention of America Inc. He also is a board member of the Congress of National Black Churches and executive board member of the Jazz District Redevelopment Corp.
Hartsfield has served as pastor in Pickens, S.C.; Brunswick, Ga.; Bartos, Fla.; Kansas City, Mo., and Wichita.
