The man injured in the Cat Tracker bus accident last November is improving, Kansas University Hospital officials said Friday.

Chris D. Orr, who was injured when his head struck an overpass while standing atop the fan bus, is now in fair condition in the rehabilitation wing of the hospital, said Dennis McCulloch, a spokesman for the hospital.

Orr has been hospitalized since the accident and was recently upgraded from serious condition. Another man, John Green, was killed in the Iowa Street accident Nov. 18.

Meanwhile, District Attorney Charles Branson is still considering whether to file charges against the bus driver, Salina resident Brent Simonsson.

Simonsson was driving the bus on a restricted license that did not allow him to drive commercial vehicles.

Branson said he has now received all of the information he requested from the Lawrence Police Department and should decide whether to file charges soon.

Read the last paragraph:

"Branson said he has now received all of the information he requested from the Lawrence Police Department and should decide whether to file charges soon."

Sounds like Branson has been waiting for some time to receive all the necessary info from the LPD. Defense lawyers are always ready to pounce on any chance to have charges dropped on technicalities--an inevitability if the DA files before he has all his ducks in a row.

Could it be that you failed to notice this final paragraph because you have an agenda against Branson? Why don't you ask why the PD took so long to deliver the info Branson requested? That would seem a fair question.

Do you're job Branson and charge the driver! He broke the law and a man died and another was seriously injured!!

Remember this people, at the next elections. Branson is a 'don't want to do anything' DA!!!
