Mill Valley girls survive nail-biter
Perry ? Carly Santularia scored 12 points and the Mill Valley girls basketball team held on Thursday night for a 46-44 victory on the road against Perry-Lecompton.
Ashleigh Allam scored a game-high 14 points for the Kaws (3-9), who had chances to tie the game late, but fell victim to sloppy ball-handling.
“We actually had three or four chances in the last minute and just turned the ball over,” said Perry-Lecompton coach Mark Armstrong.
De Soto 55, Shawnee Maranatha 48
Shawnee – Jackie Goleman scored 24 points, and Kira Gonzalez scored 12 to lead the Wildcats (4-4).
Gardner-Edgerton 54, Baldwin 41
Gardner – Three Baldwin players scored in double figures, but the Blazers’ steady offense prevailed.
Ashley Tucker led the way with 12 points for Baldwin (5-3).
McLouth 49, Topeka Cornerstone 28
McLouth – Missy Rome scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs.
