A KU record 236 student-athletes earned spots on the Kansas University Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during the Fall 2006 semester. To earn a place on the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must compile a 3.0 grade-point average for the semester.

Of the 236 athletes, 37 earned perfect 4.0 averages. The 236 represent 52 percent of the student-athletes on rosters at KU.

Eight teams earned 3.0 GPAs or better, including women’s golf, whose 3.32 represented the highest team average for the semester.

Football and men’s basketball had the lowest GPAs at 2.41 and 2.54, respectively. The average GPA for all athletes was 2.88.
