Grain and soybean futures ended sharply higher Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 23 cents to $4.79 1/2 a bushel; March corn rose 20 cents to $3.96 1/2 a bushel; March oats rose 15 1/2 cents to $2.72 1/4 a bushel; March soybeans rose 42 1/4 cents to $7.16 1/2 a bushel.

Beef futures decreased while pork finished mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle fell 1.80 cent to 91.80 cents a pound; March feeder cattle fell 3 cents to 92.95 cents a pound; February lean hogs fell .13 cent to 60.37 cents a pound; February pork bellies finished unchanged at 90.87 cents a pound.
